The Master and the Student

In the hospital emergency room, Dr. Guglielmo Antor, a young thirty-five-year-old physician but, despite his youth, head of the endocrinology department, is leafing through the medical records of a patient who has just arrived in the ambulance with a code yellow. The patient is eighty years old and appears to be asleep at that moment. What strikes him most is the name, Enrico Piospi, his fifth-grade teacher, and memories of those distant times come flooding back...

School has been going on for four days now, the bell has just rung and all the students in class 4A are already in class, the classroom door opens and the teacher enters, the students stand up and look at each other in surprise, it's not their teacher, the newcomer addresses the students:

"Sit down, I'm the new teacher, Enrico Piospi. Your teacher suffered a serious injury from which it's unknown if he'll recover, so he's been put on early retirement, even though he was supposed to retire at the end of this school year. I'll take your class until the fifth-grade exam. Now, I'll take roll call. When I call you, please answer present."

Once the roll call is over, the teacher turns to them again:

"For today, we'll take stock of the program, so we'll do a general review to gauge your level. Then I'll assign you homework on specific topics. Since today is Friday, you'll have them handed in by Monday. Please adhere strictly to the requirements. I see from the gradebook that some of you always had excellent results under my predecessor. I hope they don't disappoint, and that those who were weaker will commit. I expect everyone to achieve the best results, following the ministerial planning guidelines. You must adhere strictly to the requirements."
