BIOGRAPHY

Silvano Adami, born July 26, 1945, in Modigliana, moved with his family to Florence in 1949, where he completed his studies, graduating from the Leonardo da Vinci Technical Institute as an industrial engineer. After completing his military service as a reserve officer, he took on some casual jobs, then worked in a factory for six years. After passing the competitive exam, he was hired by the Florence Courthouse, where he worked until his retirement in 2005.

He has had a passion for writing since he was a boy. In his youth, he wrote some poems and songs, but they were never published. Only after retirement did he commit to writing his first book, the plot of which had been in his mind for some time. He has also written another book and various short stories and poems, which he has collected in a book. In addition to writing, he has a passion for singing and acting, and, even at a late age, he joined the parish choir, with which he performed in the 2013 "Christmas Concert." He also sang in the choir formed by the parishes of Florence for the Pope's Mass in the city's stadium.

He is part of the Parish's theatre company "LA FIABA" with which he has participated in various shows:

CENA MEDIOEVALE  -  L’ACONITE … Ovvero MISTERIOSO DELITTO AL CASTELLO– June 2014

Dinner show with crime set in a medieval castle where a crime is perpetrated and during the dinner the public is invited to follow the investigations and try to guess how the events unfold; he played the part of the medieval cleric Sylvester

 

LE NONNE SQUILLO - March 2015

Brilliant comedy by Dory Cei, a group of "grandmothers" receives a villa as an inheritance, not knowing that it was a house of call girls and everything takes place amid hilarious misunderstandings; he played the part of councilor Stradella

 

FIORENTINI A VIAREGGIO - March 2016

Brilliant comedy by Dory Cei which takes place in a boarding house in Viareggio amidst misunderstandings and bickering; he played the part of the banker Vittorio Vannocchi

 

I BARROCCINI DI VIA DELL’ARIENTO – March 2018

Drilling comedy by Dory Cei takes place in an apartment among the owners of the "barroccini" stalls located in via dell'Ariento in Florence; he played the part of Osvaldo

 

NON TUTTI I LADRI VENGONO PER NUOCERE – February 2019

Single act by Dario Fo intrigues and misunderstandings in an apartment visited by thieves; he played the part of the thief Amedeo

 

He also participated in RECITALS and MUSICALS:

 

UNO COME TANTI ALTRI - December 2012 (three other performances in two parishes and at the Sollicciano prison) (Group "Noi insieme a tanti altri") Representation of the life of Jesus with songs and scenography in which he was part of the choir and was one of the voices narrators

 

ALEGRIA - March 2014 (Group "Musical ... mente")

Musical show with songs and dances in which he was part of the choir

 

CAFFÈ TABARIN - 2015 (Group "Musical ... mente")

Variety show with songs, ballets and skits in which he played the sketch of "Gastone", the character created by Ettore Pratolini

 

SISTER ACT 1 and 2 – March, April 2017 (Company "FIABA")

Show freely based on the Syster Act films in which he played the character of spy agent Tate in the first part and the administrator Mr. Crisp in the second part
